Recipe: Honey Apple Cake
It’s that time of year where we spend more time with family, friends and food. Just off the fall apple harvest, put a few to work in a beautiful honey apple cake shaped by a bundt pan and drizzled with honey.

Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup raw honey beelove honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 4 apples peeled, cored and shredded for texture Use 2 granny smith, 1honey crisp and 1 golden delicious
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9-inch Bundt pan or 2 round cake pans.
Main Instructions
- In a large bowl, stir together the white sugar and oil. Beat eggs until light, then stir in raw honey and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Stir dry mixture into the batter, just until moistened. Fold in the apples and nuts. Transfer batter to prepared pan or pans.
- Bake bundt cake until a toothpick inserted into the crown comes out clean, or for a hour. (Start checking to see if its done in about 50 minutes.)
- Allow to cool for 10 -15 minutes. Then, gently tap and invert finished cake onto a plate. If desired, dust with a mixture of confectioners' sugar and cinnamon.
- Warm honey and drizzle over cake, as desired.
Recipe Notes
Sprinkle the cake with confectioner sugar, cinnamon, and drizzle all over with warm raw honey just before serving. Experiment with using different types of cream cheese. Store, covered at room temperature.
